Company Section End of Year Bowling

10 boys and the leaders of the Company Section including Mr Welch, Mr Quigley and Mr Morris and even Antony Hourie's mum, Lesley, all took part in an end of year bowling competition at Lakeside Bowling in Crewe.

The competition involved two games each in a friendly battle against one another. Boys like Joe Dixon, myself and Dominic took an early lead in our games battling out courageously to win the games.

On the other team Mr Quigley, Mr Welch, Antony and Lesley played with Mr Quigley and Mr Welch off to a very good start.

An evening filled with much fun, we soon resorting to swapping bowling balls and using the bowling support ramps to try and win. My own games got worse as they went along and by the second game I was coming second to last with Joe, Dominic and Robert Dixon taking the lead. Mr Welch went onto beat Mr Quigley at the last minute with a one point lead against him at 146.

There was also lots of laughter as the bowling lanes started to feel the time of day and got slower resulting in some but not all of the pins coming down and the barrier coming down at random intervals.

All in all a very enjoyable night and thanks to all who attended.
