In 2008, five Senior members from our Boys' Brigade got the opportunity of a lifetime to visit the village of Crown Haven in the Bahamas to help the local community and to develop their own skills which will be incredibly useful for later in life to achieving success.

Two years on and a new generation of Seniors have come up. With the huge success of the last trip, 1st Haslington has once again teamed up with the Oakhanger Project to take part in another trip to the area to pass on the same skills to the new Seniors and to bring more benefits to the area which is frequently prone to hurricanes. The trip will also aim to achieve new objectives, centering the theme of our visit closely to the environment hoping to give the boys a greater awareness of the impacts of the changing climate on the Bahamas. The project will be led by the Oakhanger Project.
